Stay Safe – Icy Conditions in Our Area

We’re experiencing icy conditions across the neighbourhood, which can make roads and pavements slippery. Please take extra care when out and about:

Wear appropriate footwear with good grip.

Allow extra time for journeys and drive slowly if you’re on the road.

Check on vulnerable neighbours who may need assistance.

Report any dangerous areas or accidents to the relevant authorities.

When driving on icy roads:

Reduce your speed and keep a greater distance from the vehicle in front.

Avoid harsh braking or sudden steering—apply brakes gently and steer smoothly.

Use higher gears when pulling away to reduce wheel spin.

Be extra cautious on untreated roads, bends, and shaded areas where ice may linger.
